Letter: Foolish
Editor, Daily News:
I couldn’t believe my ears and eyes when I heard and read about the bullet-proof security panels that are going to be installed for two desks for aides at the Collier County School Board meetings at a cost of $24,000.
As a member of the board of education in Clifton, N.J., for 15 years, I know board members would have been laughed out of town if someone suggested spending much-needed education money on a foolish project such as that.
Next thing, someone will suggest is that all board members carry sidearms.
