Tiny problem, big deal
Editor, Daily News:
In view of the significant responsibilities required by the job of school superintendent, the findings of the $87,000 audit regarding the very small percent of the 16,000 high school students taking a total of 88,000 classes were truly insignificant to the scope of the superintendent’s job.
I am quite sure that the public can now rest easy that our Collier County School Board will hold all current and future candidates to the same degree of performance expectation.
After all, once we are done paying out for Ray Baker’s lawsuit for breach of contract, the expenses of the audit and the expenses of the board’s “already been offered the job” interviewee, it would be a shame for the board to be sued for their very own breach of fiduciary responsibility to the public.
